At K 2013, Davis-Standard LLC will feature its recently introduced dsX technology for several types of processes. Davis-Standard can deliver the pre-engineered dsX flex-pack extrusion coating line in as few as six months. It is aimed at a range of packaging applications including salted snack and noodle bags, toothpaste tubes, sachet packs for personal care products, condiment packs and standup pounces. The dsX pre-stretch cast film extrusion line, for cast film, is the first in-line pre-stretch system, Davis-Standard executives said. The pre-engineered line is two meters wide, and comes with both five- and seven-layer options. The ultra-compact dsX med-tube is designed for medical tubing. It offers a smaller footprint for clean rooms and language-specific control systems. The unit has a coextruder setup. Also at the show, Davis-Standard will offer a shuttle service from the Düsseldorf fairgrounds to its plant in nearby Erkrath, so see two new dsX lines. Davis-Standard’s K show exhibit is at Hall 16, Stand A43. The company is based in Pawcatuck, Conn. Tel. 860-599-1010, swhewell@davis-standard.com. | |
