Electri-Tec LLC , a manufacturer of electrical equipment, is adding 15,000 square feet of space and will nearly double the size of its Angola, Ind., facility, according to its President Dan Khorshid.
The company, which does injection molding, makes power cords, wire harnesses and electronic equipment for a varied clientele including medical, agricultural and automotive customers.
Electri-Tec was acquired by Khorporate Holdings Inc., of Fort Wayne, Ind., in November 2012. Khorshid said it has experienced a 25 percent growth rate for the first half of this year.
“Since we’ve come in, we’ve hired five new employees and we’ve used our connections to bring in new customers,” Khorshid said, in a telephone interview.
He said the new addition will boost the size of the building to 35,000 square feet and should be ready by December. The new layout will help improve efficiency.
Angola is providing a tax abatement for the project, and Electri-Tec will add five new employees.
Khorshid said Electri-Tec currently operates seven 30-ton molding presses. It has 36 employees.
The company was founded in 1972.
Khorporate Holdings, a family-owned company, also owns Mossberg Industries Inc., of Garrett, Ind., a manufacturer of plastic spools and reels that underwent a 45,000 square foot expansion that boosted its building to 130,000 square feet in 2012.
